This lovely Spanish and Moroccan-inspired courtyard apartment is located at 8225 Fountain Avenue in West Hollywood, California. Patio Del Moro was built in 1925 by husband and wife architectural team, Arthur and Nina Zwebell.
The owner of the building insisted they use Spanish and North African motifs throughout the design. The courtyard, which I haven’t seen yet, features a three-story Tunisian tower, a reflecting pond, and a baroque fireplace.
A long list of Hollywood stars and celebrities have resided at Patio Del Moro, including Joan Fontaine, Humphrey Bogart, Clark, Gable, Janette McDonald, Paulette Goddard, and Charlie Chaplin.
